What screen size means

Coffee beans are graded by the sieve they pass over. Screen size is measured in 64ths of an inch: a 17/18 coffee stays on the 17/64 inch screen and passes the 18/64 inch one, so its beans measure roughly 6.7 to 7.1 mm. A 15/16 measures roughly 6.0 to 6.4 mm.
